what recent magazines have been made in my genre:
After continuous research i have decided that billboard magazine which is an American magazine matches my magazine genre which is every genre and a sum up of the latest music charts and interviews with certain solo singers or/and bands

Billboard magazines company is Prometheus Global media and the editor is Danyel smith
Promethes global media formerly known as e5 Global Media, is an American entertainment publishing company based in New York City. The company was formed by the sale of the entertainment and media division of Nielsen Business Media in December 2009

how popular is the magazine?
the magazine sells hundreds of thousand magazines each year and is highly popular in America where it is based.

Audience Profile

My audience will be based around the 12-17+ category

They may like other magazines that are based around celebrities and may have interviews from their favourite bands and inspirations and anything that includes a specific kind of music

They may listen to Upbeat music or one specific genre of music that is their preference
They may also like to create their own music by playing instruments and singing

They may spend their money on things that relate to music this can be a number of things including:

• magazines
• CDS
• Music Posters
• Instruments
• Concert tickets

They might read the magazine with friends who are also interested in the same type of music and the same artists it will appeal to one specific audience and that is teenagers

They might expect the magazine to have plenty of:

• interviews
• artist files (tells you information about that specific artist)
• images
• prizes to be won
• chances to win concert tickets
• be able to get songs that havnt been released
• instant updates

Idea number 3

The above image is top of the pops magazine the reason why i chose this as an inspirational magazine cover is

• It is based more around a younger audience than most other magazines
• the page is full of information and images so it gives you an insight into what you are buying
• The colour scheme is bright and colourful which makes it stand out against the darker background

I can relate and use this style of magazine for my own project 3 things that i would use in my own magazine are

• The fact that it is for a younger audience and everyone can read it.
• It is very colourful and bright which makes it one of the first magazines that you would pick up if it was on a shelf
• The main image is of robert patttison who is a role model for many children who look up to him so makes it more of an insentive to buy it.

Idea number 2

The above image is a front cover for NME magazine the reason why i chose this as an inspirational front cover is because it is bright and unusual

• The framing shows the whole of paramore in mid shot with the main singer at the front taking lead of the shot as well as the band itself this is known as heirachical
• The pose of the group looks forced and that it is not a natural shot 
• The font of the main text takes up a vast majority of the bottom of the page but it is easy to relate the image to the text

What i could use from this magazine to help create my own:

• I like the layout of this magazine as everything isnt clustered together but gives you the information that you need to make you want to buy the magazine
• I like how pink has been randomly used for the word 'paramore' it makes it jump out of the page and stand out the most.

This is my first inspirational front cover i found the reasons that i like this front cover is 

• The page is not over flowed with texts so it is quick to scan and work out what the main story lines are
• The title of the magazine which is 'Billboard' is not plain but not too bright making it eye catching and memorable.
• It is easy to spot the colour scheme in the front page which is dark colours with the use of spot colour which is blue

I also picked this front cover to help me with my own their are a few things that i really like which i feel i could be able to use in my own magazine

• The main image takes over the whole page but has no smaller images on so it doesnt look tacky and makes it obviouse to the audience that the main image is the person who the main story line is based round
• I like how the main text is in the bottom left of the page, but the word 'KE$HA is in a large white font with a bright yellow sub line under.
